Everyday use

Keep monitoring around the clock

A working camera needs a working Station.

Keep the essentials on

Leave the camera powered, the Station running and its computer awake. Connect laptops to power and check what happens when you close the lid. Both the Station and camera need to remain connected to the same network.

Internet access and a working OpenAI key are needed for analysis. A quiet scene can produce fewer checks; that alone does not mean monitoring has stopped.

When a camera needs attention

Check the camera status in your workspace. Monitoring-interruption Messages tell you when the system cannot confirm monitoring. A recovery Message follows when monitoring is restored.

  1. Check the camera’s power and network connection.
  2. Check that Station is open and the computer has not gone to sleep.
  3. Check the OpenAI key and account if processing is failing.
  4. Open the camera’s Diagnostics for more detail if the issue continues.

After a restart

Make sure you are signed in to the computer and Station has started. Check the camera is watching before leaving it unattended.
