Fine-tune your Events
Choose when to watch and when to hear about an ongoing situation.
Watch at the right times
Use a schedule for an entrance after closing or a driveway at night. Check the timezone, start time and end time. A schedule that ends earlier than it starts continues into the next day.
Wait for a situation to continue
Under Advanced, choose Only if it continues when a brief moment should not count. For example, ask about a garage door that stays open instead of every time it opens.
The same ongoing situation is kept as one incident. You can enable reminders while it continues, and choose whether to be notified when it ends.
Leave room between alerts
Minimum time between new alerts reduces repeated notifications when activity stops and starts. This is separate from reminders about an incident that is still happening.
Make one change at a time, try it against activity you can observe and check the Messages afterward.
